Sweet

I was reminded today of a Christmas long ago, well only four years ago, but Cole was only one and that seems ages ago... We were at a family Christmas party, you know the ones, everyone brings a white elephant... yeah one of those. So everyone is exchange, and stealing each others things. Uncle Ty had a puzzle, but it was stolen by another uncle. Cole had a little playskool saxophone. He made it clear to grand-uncle Kurt that the puzzle belonged to Ty. Uncle Kurt told Cole he would give the puzzle to Ty but Cole needed to give him the saxophone. You could see Cole thinking it over and then he handed the saxophone to Kurt. Needless to say, Kurt was slightly surprised by this generosity in such a little boy. Of course, he didn't take the saxophone, but he did hand over the puzzle. I am amazed every time I think of this story. This time of year reminds me of the selflessness of Christ and the example of those around me who give of themselves. Thanks to all my wonderful friends and family. Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy this special time of year.
